8a-Phenyldecahydroquinoline is a high affinity NMDA antagonist. It is a structural analog of Phencyclidine with slightly lower binding affinity than the parent compound. (-)-8a-Phenyldecahydroquinoline has an in vivo potency comparable to that of (+)-MK-801.
