People's National Party (Russia)

The Peoples National Party (Народная национальная партия) is a minor far right political party in Russia. Its leader is Aleksandr Ivanov-Sukharevsky, who founded the party in 1994.

The party believes in the creation of an all-white Russia, and eventually a Russian-led white Europe. The party is known for its largely youthful membership, and has a large white power skinhead following, with members wearing a white shirt and a black armband bearing a black Russian cross. Racist skinhead leader Semyon Tokmakov has served as deputy leader of the party.

The party supports the extermination of non-Russians and immigrants who have come from the former Republics of the Soviet Union, and has been identified as a leading exponent of white nationalism, anti-communism, antisemitism and anti-Roma ideas, as well as implicit opposition to the immigration of non-whites and Muslims. Unlike most other far right organizations in Russia, the PNP does not support the Russian Orthodox church, and is viewed as an alternative for non-religious racists.

The party publishes its own newspaper, "Ya-Russky". Its membership is estimated at between 12 and 15,000, with the majority being under 22 years of age.Fact|date=April 2007
