Link Campus is the Italian branch of the international-reputed University of Malta. Founded in 1998, "Link Campus" is the first foreign higher education institute to receive approval from the Italian Department of Education to operate in Italy (Decree, 27th November 1999, art. 2, Regulation 4, 14th January 1999). The University of Malta (est. 1592) has 10 Faculties and 20 Institutes with 7500 students from 78 countries and an average of 2000 graduates per year. As an affiliate of the University of Malta, "Link Campus" benefits from the international partnerships which the University has developed with institutions and universities in the United States, UK, France, Italy and Australia. Moreover, it is also member of University Networks such as Santander, Utrecht and Compostela and the Community of Universities of the Mediterranean. The University of Malta has over the years participated in a number of EU-sponsored programmes such as Meda, Socrates and Leonardo. In the United States the University has very good links with , the Council for International Education Exchange (CIEE) and the International Students Exchange Programme (ISEP). It is the second oldest member of the Commonwealth after the UK.

"Link Campus" has adopted a two-tier system whereby students follow a three-year undergraduate programme (BA) and then may continue for another two years at graduate level to receive a Master of Arts (MA) degree. The academic year is divided in 2 semesters and exams are scheduled at the end of each semester. Attendance to lectures is compulsory and there are tutors to help students who failed exams to study for a re-sit session.

"Link Campus – University of Malta" is based in Rome. It has 16 cabled classrooms connected via an internal network and all covered by our wireless connection; 2 multimedia classrooms equipped for videoconferences, a 700 seat auditorium, language laboratories and a library with more than 8000 books dealing with economics, sociology and politics. Furthermore, "Link Campus" has a portal accessible to all our students. "Link Campus" portal offers on-line resources such as didactic materials and audio-visual resources and it is a link for students in remote centres with lecturers and other students.

"Link Campus – University of Malta" offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses as well as professional and short courses designed especially for managers. Courses are delivered in different languages.
