United States presidential election in Texas, 2004

As a Republican stronghold and the home state of incumbent President George W. Bush, Texas voted overwhelmingly to support the Republican against his Democratic challenger Senator John F. Kerry. Texas has not voted for a Democratic candidate in a U.S. presidential election since Jimmy Carter's victory in 1976.
