BYU Studies

"BYU Studies" is a multidisciplinary journal dedicated to publishing articles on a broad array of topics related to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). [ [http://byustudies.byu.edu/ BYU Studies –- Home ] ] It is published by the LDS Church-owned Brigham Young University.

Originally proposed as "Wasatch Review", [cite journal|author=Whittaker, David J.|authorlink=David J. Whittaker|title=Leonard James Arrington: His Life and Work|journal=|volume=11|issue=4|date=Winter 1978|url=http://content.lib.utah.edu/u?/dialogue,355|accessdate=2008-07-20] the periodical actually began as "Brigham Young University Studies" in early 1959 [cite web|title=BYU Studies|work=Mormon Literature Database|publisher=Brigham Young University|url=http://mormonlit.lib.byu.edu/lit_work.php?w_id=1117|accessdate=2008-07-20] .

When it was originally started, "BYU Studies" included articles on political topics that were unrelated to the LDS Church or Latter-day Saints.Fact|date=January 2008 However, today the publication focuses almost exclusively on items related to Latter-day Saints.Fact|date=January 2008
