Vyroneia, Vyronia, Vironeia or 'Vironia (Greek: Βυρώνεια, is a Greek town located in the municipality of Petritsi in the extreme north of Serres prefecture south of the Bulgarian border. The older name of the town was Hatzibelika. It is situated between the mountains to the north and the Strymon plain to the south. The Strymon river flows south of the town and Vyroneia located 5 km north of the shores of Kerkini. It is connected with GR-65 (Kilkis - Sidirokastro) and with GR-63 linking Serres and Sofia via Sidirokastro and with Bulgarian Route 1. Vyroneia is located east of Lake Doirani, S of Petrich, Bulgaria, W of Sidirokastro and NW of Serres.

Farmlands and forests along with grasslands cover the southern and the central part of the plain and to the east. The mountains that are covered with grasslands and forests dominate the north and forests to the west and around the lake. Birds around Vyronia include the Buzz Sparrowhawk and the Peregrine Falcon.

Vyroneia, then Chatzibeliks was a military base for the Greek army during the Second Balkan War. Here king Constantine I of Greece and then prime minister Eleftherios Venizelos received on July 1, 1913 the representatives ofBulgaria for signing the armistice treaty after the Greek victory.

Today's Vyroneia has 1,134 inhabitants as of the 2001 census. Nearby the train station is the National Aquarium of Vyroneia, the second in Greece after Rhodes. The Vyroneia Cultural Society presents every June a cultural event called "Vyroneia". The Olympic Flame on July 2004 passed through the town after arriving from Sidirokastro to Kato Poroia and Doirani.
